1 Get rid of waste paper and junk
Over time, each of us accumulates mountains of old notebooks, unnecessary forms, yellowed newspapers, glossy magazines, brochures and other cardboard boxes that have outlived their usefulness and are no longer needed. These things are pulling back.

So, is it worth keeping all this junk, which not only takes up your living space, but also serves as a haven for dust and insects. The conclusion suggests itself. Feel free to throw it away, because it was not needed now, then it will not be useful anymore (except for important information).
2 Good in bad
Learn to accept life as it is. And even if, at times, she presents us with not very pleasant surprises, but sometimes great luck is hidden behind a small failure. Know, and a holiday will come to your street! Learn to find the pluses in any situation.
3 Say no to bad habits!
Alcohol, nicotine, overeating, other habits – declare war on them! Get used to daily exercise. Sleep for at least 7-8 hours. Change your toothbrush! An old toothbrush is a repository of bacteria.
4 Be organized
Planning your time clearly each day will help you stay organized. And even if you are not a fan of accuracy and punctuality and love, perhaps, a certain carelessness and uncertainty, but even timid attempts to keep track of time will help you.
Get in the habit of making a to-do list for tomorrow before going to bed. And rest assured, it will work!
1 Get rid of old pieces of paper
If you are in the least like me, your house is littered with all kinds of papers – all sorts of notes, old recipes, unnecessary mail, notes to yourself. Get rid of it all. Shredding paper in a shredder will keep your home tidy and secure.
2 Mentally prepare yourself for the upcoming changes by imagining your ideal self
What do you most admire? How do you see your future? What do you want to be? Imagine yourself as such a person.
4 Ask people you admire how they became who they are today.
I have always admired my grandfather. Understanding how he started his business, how he overcame difficulties throughout his life and how he improved his life, helped me to achieve my own prosperity.
3 Remember that unexpected events can be a blessing
As the Dalai Lama once said, “Remember that not receiving what you have longed to receive is sometimes an amazing gift of luck.”
How do you define your goals and values?
You cannot answer this question on the run, it takes time to devote to yourself, and which we do not have. But only the revision of their values, their reassessment give an understanding of the further path.
So let's treat the time spent analyzing our values and goals as an investment in the future.
It is impossible to constantly slide on the surface. From time to time you need to stop to go deeper, to answer important questions.
How to understand that the chosen goal is “yours”? The emerging interest and energy will become an indicator for you. You will immediately want to take action to achieve the goal.
To reach your goals, I offer several different methods.
Try each one. As you work, write down all the thoughts, words, ideas that come to mind. A holistic picture will emerge by itself, then.
The main thing is to trust yourself, give yourself time.
To begin with, let's separate the concepts: goals and values.
Step # 1. Crystallization of values
Everyone has their own priorities and their own picture of the world, which is based on a system of values that is individual for each person. To formulate your deepest value system, you need to self-identify.
You need to understand what is really important to you. To do this, start by answering the following questions:
-
Highlight three to five of the most significant events in your life: why are they important to you? Analyze your answers. What values do they express?
-
Look back at the previous year (month / week): what events have you enjoyed? Why? What was valuable in these events?
-
Imagine your ideal day in 5 (10, 30, …) years. How does this day begin? What are you doing during the day? What is your environment? What emotions are you experiencing?
-
Now for a more difficult task: imagine your 70th birthday.
Yes, yes!
And in the details! Congratulations from relatives, friends, colleagues. What do they thank you for? What are they appreciated for? What would you like them to say to you on this day? Look back from the height of your seventy years. What have you done in your life to feel satisfied and happy now? I think you will have something to think about. Write down everything that resonates with your soul.
Based on this, you will be able to understand what your deepest values are. This is what drives us. What helps to make an informed choice.
This knowledge will help you a lot in life. These are the very roots that help to keep oneself in the storms of life.
Step # 2. Goal tree
Now that we have looked at our life from a bird's eye view, we understand further and structure it.
Our values are our root system that feeds our tree of life. And the branches of the tree are the key areas of your life.

Write down all areas of life that are important to you and place them on the branches of the tree.
You will have a kind of map of the key areas of your life.
The set can be as follows: Career, Professional development, Hobbies, Leisure, Friends, Parents, Family, Finance, Health. Add your branches.
Step number 4. Development of an action plan
Then we split our branches-sub-goals into leaves-cases.
Lose weight by five kg:
- sign up for the gym;
- find a companion;
- take a personal training and prescribe a lesson plan;
- think over a diet;
- start to implement the plan;
- assign yourself motivation, etc.
So you go through every important area of your life and get a ready-made action plan. Then you need to transfer it to your diary and start implementing it.
This is what we will do in the future.
A goal becomes a more powerful source of energy and motivation when it is “native”, chosen by you, and not imposed.
5 Give up alcohol, cigarettes and other vices
Perhaps they are crutches for you, distorting a common view of the world. And the money saved on the purchase of these harmful substances can be used for something pleasant, for example, on a trip.
6 Get rid of the negative elements of your life, be it people or work that you don't feel like doing
If you have friends who upset or overwhelm you, there is no need to maintain that relationship out of a sense of duty. Break these ties and get rid of failure.
7 Start every day with a clean slate, make a new to-do list with a cup of morning coffee
A clear understanding of what you have to do today will help you stay on track.
8 Clean up your house and get rid of all unnecessary things
Not only from old recipes, as mentioned earlier, but also from all that rubbish, which has a place in sales, a garbage dump, or which can be given to the poor.
5 Order not only inside, but also outside
The kind of things chaotically scattered around the apartment interferes with active mental activity. My thoughts are the same mess. Clean up your apartment and eliminate all unnecessary things!
Reading the biographies of famous people of the past and present era will not only help to while away the hours of leisure, but will also inspire you to new feats and achievements.
No matter how busy, independent and wherever you live, do not allow yourself to forget who you are and where your roots originate from. It happens, of course, that for some reason you cannot communicate with your loved ones, but more often these are just excuses. Don't lose touch with loved ones if they are dear to you.
- Concrete: What exactly needs to be done?
- Measurability: How do I know that the goal has been achieved? How can you measure it? Tie a specific quantitative or qualitative indicator (five kg, for example).
- Achievability: Is My Purpose Realistic? How will I achieve it? Think over resources, plan of achievement.
- Significance: Do I really want this? What happens when I reach this goal?
- Consistency: How consistent is this goal with the rest of my goals? Does it not conflict with them? If so, how can this be resolved?
- Timing: When do I need to reach it? Set a clear deadline.
In management, these goal setting criteria are called SMART.
Thus, from the vision of your life, you came to what exactly needs to be done in order for this vision to become a reality.
This is the planning process that must be applied not only to work, but also to your life.
