Look like a star: the beauty secrets of the ageless Milla Jovovich

67

On December 17, American actress and model Milla Jovovich turned 46 years old. In honor of this event, we tell you what makes a celebrity look so amazing.

“Beauty is self-confidence. Strong, self-confident girls and women who are comfortable in their own bodies are admired by others. If you work on yourself, confidence will appear naturally, and with it the feeling of being beautiful, "says Milla Jovovich.

The American actress, model, singer and designer, mother of three, turns 46 today. And Milla is sure that age does not mean anything. This is only a number if you feel young and take care of your skin and body.

Milla is one of those stars who are not afraid to reveal their beauty secrets to the world, so she is happy to talk about her daily procedures in an interview. So what makes an actress look incredible?

Milla Jovovich Skin Care

If you're one of those girls who can't stick to a certain skin care routine, Milla Jovovich understands you perfectly. The supermodel told IntoTheGloss more about her beauty philosophy.

“I started working at the age of 11 and everything I know, my mother taught me,” the actress said in an interview.

The actress admitted that when she can't afford to go to the beautician for complex procedures, she relies on quality and regular home care, as well as facial massages and masks.

“Definitely, my skin care system has always started from within. You have to take care of yourself, what you eat, what you drink, you understand? Then, of course, care will work. I have a regular beauty routine of cleansing, moisturizing, and if it's possible to get a salon facial and a massage, that's perfect. But I don't really do it, because I work and travel all the time, and I can't afford to go to a specialist and then walk around with a red and swollen face for several days. So I just use a lot of exfoliators to keep my skin fresh.

Milla says she cleanses her skin twice a day, uses toners, and uses a "cocktail of serums and moisturizer" to keep her skin healthy, clear, and youthful for as long as possible. And her main rule is to regularly try something new and change skin care products.

“I am very particular about what I put on my face. At the same time, I feel like I should always use different products, because as soon as your skin gets too used to something, it weakens the effect. So I'm trying to switch between a lot of products. One day I use one type of serum, and the next I will apply something different; same with moisturizer. Obviously, you should use whatever works for you, but I think it's important to change what you put on your skin. It's like with training: you just get used to it, and the effect decreases,” says Milla.

Despite the fact that the actress has always been kind to face and body care, in her youth she could afford more. Night parties and 24/7 work didn't take a toll on her face. But since she gave birth to her first daughter, Ever, any disruption in the daily routine is reflected in her skin.

“I've always taken care of my skin, but since I had Ever, I can't work all day and party all night. It affects my face. Now I need skin care shakes! Once a week I take a hot bath and steam my face. I also love a good deep clean with the Clarisonic brush. Such a spa day is good for the psyche and, therefore, for the people around you!

Milla Jovovich makeup

In everyday life, Milla practically does not wear makeup. She likes when the skin breathes, so she only corrects minor imperfections with concealer. And with such an appearance as an actress, she still does not need a heavy make-up in order to look perfect.

“I like to let my skin breathe, so I usually skip foundation and use yellow-toned concealer to hide redness around my nose and chin,” the actress said in an interview.

Once Milla admitted to W Magazine that she likes the way European girls paint, because with the help of cosmetics they only emphasize their natural beauty, and do not try to copy someone else's image.

“For the most part, I like simplicity in hair and makeup. I feel like I look my best when I look like me. I don't like to wear too much makeup, especially in Europe. I think the less makeup on my face the better, because I always grew up with a European sense of style, and European girls don't do war paint. It's always been my style to just look natural. Obviously a little bit of tone won't hurt to make the skin look good, but not too much."

In another interview, Jovovich added that life is not like filming and what looks good on camera doesn't always look perfect in reality.

“Too bright make-up is appropriate in front of the lens or on the red carpet. In real life, it can look vulgar. It seems to me that the abundance of makeup on my face visually ages, “says Jovovich.

However, on the red carpet, the actress can afford the brightest and most daring images.

Workout and diet Milla Jovovich

We all know how good Milla is on set when it comes to fighting enemies – she does a lot of scenes without stuntmen. To keep fit, the actress does a lot of cardio, especially she likes aerobic exercise on trampolines. In addition, Jovovich is fond of martial arts. She first got into martial arts while preparing for her role in The Fifth Element and hasn't stopped since. The more she starred in such films, the better her skills became.

“I think women are made for martial arts. We are smaller, faster and more agile,” says the star.

Every time Milla was pregnant, she temporarily took a break from training. However, after the birth of children, the actress quickly got into shape thanks to taekwondo and wushu.

As for nutrition, Milla tries to eat healthy food without going to any extremes. Her diet has everything: fish, vegetables, meat, beans, nuts, pasta, etc.

“My trainer says: “If you eat the same food every day – which we usually do – the metabolism slows down because the body gets used to it. You have to constantly shock your metabolism.” If your diet is always different, your body does not know what will happen tomorrow. Today it's fish, tomorrow some chicken, the next day it's beans. You want your body to always be running like clockwork and your metabolism to be high, because when your metabolism is at its peak, everything in the body is quickly updated. You recover quickly,” Milla told IntoTheGloss.
