When I told my friend that I was writing an article about a lip plumper, the first question was: “What is it?” Indeed, now there are so many new devices that it is easy to get confused in their diversity.

A lip plumper is a plastic gadget or beauty product that allows you to plump up your lips. You can find a plumper in the form of a suction cup and in the form of a lip gloss.

The basic principle of the plumper is to bleed and puff up the lips.

Plumpers in the form of plastic suction cups work by creating a vacuum effect, causing blood flow to the lips.

Using the lip plumper is quite simple:

Squeeze the cap at the base to make it look like a suction cup.
Fold your lips into a tube and attach to the suction cup. It is very important that the plumper evenly touches the skin.
Suck in your mouth. The more you inhale, the stronger the pressure. Hold the plumper in this position from a few seconds to several minutes. But don't overdo it! Otherwise, you can easily get a bruise instead of plump lips.
Carefully, without jerking, remove the plug.

My personal opinion is that this is more of a toy than a product worth using regularly. For a photo shoot or a super-important event – perfect. However, it is worth remembering that you should not use it if there are microtraumas and cracks. Frequent use may impair tissue blood flow.

Plumpers in the form of lip glosses or balms work due to the interaction of the active ingredients that make up their composition with the skin of the lips. They also cause a rush of blood, additionally filling the lips with collagen and hyaluronic acid. And this is, of course, a more gentle way to achieve the desired result.
