Beauty trends at New York Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2022

Bright eyeshadows, eccentric details, glossy hair, lots of sequins and rhinestones – collected the main makeup, hairstyle and manicure trends for the fall-winter 2022 season, dictated by New York Fashion Week.

The Fall-Winter 2022 Fashion Week has come to an end in New York. As part of the long-awaited fashion event, Michael Kors, Proenza Schouler, Gabriela Hearst, Markarian, Khaite, Shayne Oliver, Bronx and Banco and other American brands presented their collections, and makeup artists shows showed us what beauty trends will be popular in September. Below are the coolest ones.

Markarian Jazz Age Manicure

Alexandra O'Neill drew inspiration for her fall collection from jazz-era pieces by Francis Scott Fitzgerald and Dorothy Parker. Manicurist Gina Edwards followed suit, creating beautiful vintage nail art for models with pearls, glitter polishes and rhinestones. The designs featured a mixture of subtle accents, radiance and trendy shapes that reflected the era of old Hollywood glamour.

Pat McGrath is a high-class makeup artist who always surprises the public with extraordinary solutions. Each beauty look she created for the Shane Oliver show is a work of art. “We wanted all models to look like magical forest creatures. Crystals and piercings, made-up faces and pollen-soaked eyelashes blooming into flowery fantasies are a real explosion of beauty," she said.

LaQuan Smith: bright cat-eye

The beauty image of actress Julia Fox, who took part in the LaQuan Smith show, will be remembered by the audience for a long time. Her hair styled in a high bun, paired with nude lipstick and contrasting cat eyes with black eyeliner and red eyeshadow, perfectly complemented the atmosphere of the collection.

Kim Shui: 90s makeup

Tory Burch: light makeup

A minimalist make-up with an even complexion, slightly dewy eyelids and a barely visible tinted lip balm was as simple and at the same time very beautiful as the outfits of the Tory Burch autumn-winter collection.

Bronx and Banco: pink shadows

An alternative to blue eye makeup in the upcoming fall-winter 2022 season will be pink eye shadow. At NFW, they dominated fashion shows for several designers at once, including Bronx and Banco. The famous make-up artist Charlie Riddle was responsible for the bright make-up.

Proenza Schouler: No Makeup Makeup

But the make-up artist of the show Proenza Schouler relied on a barely noticeable make-up. The eyelids of Bella Hadid and other models were decorated with matte shadows of a delicate sandy shade. The “clean” looks were completed with thick natural eyebrows and super-smooth glossy hair.

Michael Kors traditionally captivated the New York audience with glamorous, bohemian outfits in the style of Hollywood chic, which the make-up artist of the show complemented with vampire makeup. The beauty images of the girls were a game of contrasts: the pallor of the face, combined with the brightness of the lips and eyes.

Blue eye makeup and blue manicure are the main beauty features that make-up artist Sophia Schwarzkopf-Tilbury (niece of the same Charlotte Tilbury) and nail master Gina Edwards used in the images of models. Hair stylist John Reiman styled the girls' curls into sleek updos and accessorized them with blue rhinestones lined up in the center parting.

Altuzarra: wet hair effect

During the Altuzarra show, the models paraded not only with wet hair, but also with wet faces. The highlight of the looks was a dramatic eye make-up with washed out colored eyeliner, which was created for them by Shiseido creative director Dick Page.
