The Mysterious Island, Jules Verne
Genre: Adventure
The world-famous novel by science fiction writer Jules Verne partially repeats the plot of the famous work about Robinson Crusoe, only we are talking about five comrades who ended up on a desert island. They decide to colonize the land and arrange a familiar world on it – they make a palace out of rock, develop and sow the land, tame animals, conduct agriculture, fully providing themselves with food. The chance helped them find a chest with weapons, clothes, kitchen utensils – items necessary in the life of a man of the 19th century. Here the plot is intertwined with the novel “Children of Captain Grant” – the owner of the things turned out to be Tom Ayrton.
The calm life of men ends when a pirate ship moors to the shore. Passions boil: the heroes decide to attract guests to a peaceful life, but everything does not go according to plan … The book contains adventures, murders, miraculous healings, a meeting with Captain Nemo and many other interesting events.

Where are you going, Henryk Sienkiewicz
Genre: Adventure
Book rating: 4.4
“Kamo vrydeshi” is translated from Polish as “where are you going”, under this name you can also find this novel by Henryk Sienkiewicz. The history dates back to the 1st century AD in the ancient Roman Empire. The young patrician Marcus Vinicius of the Roman community was imbued with a fondness for the barbarian Lygia. This almost forbidden relationship for those times gives the hero a lot of trouble on the way to his happiness. Istria unfolds against the background of descriptions of the first Roman communities, the formation of a still illegal religion with the persecution of Christians, during the reign of Emperor Nero. The plot includes the apostles Peter and Paul, and the writer Petronius Arbit, politicians, favorites of the emperor. Tragic fates of people and eternal values are the basis of the most famous work of the Polish writer.
The author opposes two worlds – the emerging spiritual and powerful political. The painting recreates the era of the beginning of our era with amazing reliability, in this Sienkiewicz was helped by the literature of chroniclers and ancient literary creators.

Amusing adventures, dramatic and touching moments are wonderfully intertwined in the book.
It reads in one breath and leaves a long, warm aftertaste.
“The Master and Margarita” – Mikhail Afanasevich Bulgakov
Yes, classic. Yes, there is in the school curriculum. But there are so many nuances, relationships, allegories in the narrative that, rereading it from year to year, you can find new meanings each time.
Every teenager sooner or later thinks about the meaning of being, looking for answers to difficult questions of life. The book has an amazing swift plot, deep feelings of heroes, exposure of human vices.
The red thread of the plot is love without conditions and boundaries, which overcomes all obstacles and always triumphs. Characters, images, an incredible plot line, a struggle with the system for oneself, one's place and opinion, the main characters' loyalty to their feelings – this is what can attract a young reader.
Reading “The Master and Margarita” a person can come to the understanding that not everything that is considered “good” and socially approved is good, and not everything that society defines “bad” is evil. Popular books among teenagers can be like that.
“Harry Potter and …” – J.K. Kathleen Rowling
Who hasn't dreamed of being a magician and having a magic wand? And what about studying in a school of wizards, coping with difficulties, tempering character and finding true friendship and faith in miracles that cannot be conjured?
The Harry Potter series are the best books for teenagers who love magic and witchcraft.
The sorceress Rowling created a real world out of paper and ink, which exists in parallel with everyday reality. There is hardly anyone who has not watched at least one film about a young wizard and the trials through which he has to go by the will of fate. But books are a real treasure. We sincerely advise.
Dandelion Wine – Ray Bradberry
The most beautiful, inspiring novel by one of the best writers of the past. In it you can find everything that makes you want to live so much!
The main character on whose behalf the story is told is twelve-year-old Douglas Spaulding.
A life-affirming work, set in the 1920s, which describes one summer full of adventure and reflection, memories of old people and childhood experiences.
The author's amazing language plunges into an atmosphere of heat, then into a semi-dark kitchen, where everything should be in its place … then into the grass, where the feeling that you are so alive is about to overtake that it almost breaks your heart, then into the basement where bottles with corked summer sun – dandelion wine sparkle with pot-bellied sides
Howl's Moving Castle (Diana Wynn Jones)
It's Howl's Moving Castle. A book that was supposed to be perceived as a book for girls who are fans of Justin Bieber. As it turned out, she owes nothing to anyone and is quite suitable for the stern, bearded Chelyabinsk peasants. Well, or not quite bearded and not very Chelyabinsk. For example, I unexpectedly liked it, although the first quarter of the book I did not understand at all what I was doing here.
Reading: but I always thought it was a gorgeous Japanese anime, I even put the picture from there. And that's it, Mikhalych …
From the pages of the book, the author tells us a story about a world where magic and technology (conventionally) live side by side. The main character, the girl Sophie, was bewitched by an evil witch who turned her into an old woman. In search of help, Sophie met many interesting characters on her way, including the kind but wayward wizard Howl, with whom they went through many adventures.
The novel is quite multifaceted. Do you like magic? No problem, here's a duel between the strongest wizard and the strongest witch. Do you like engineering puzzles? Here, take a look at this self-propelled lock (a kind of hut on chicken legs at maximum speed). Are you interested in love stories? Easy, it's there. Maybe you love traveling to parallel worlds? And this is also included in the basic package of the book.

The Hobbit, or There and Back Again by John R.R. Tolkien
And finally, something that, well, it is impossible not to mention within the framework of this topic.
The beginning began with one of the greatest epics in literary history, the Lord of the Rings trilogy. An absolute and one hundred percent must read for any category of readers. Have not read Tolkien – have not read at all. Such is my stupid subjective position. You may not read War and Peace, but be so kind as to familiarize yourself with the work of the Professor, if you take the liberty of calling yourself a bibliophile.
Reading: I don't know what must read is. The wolf in English also knows only these words … Who can, tell me here or. Thank you.
I don't know if I need to go into the plot, which probably everyone already knows, if not from the book, then from the wonderful films of Peter Jackson, for sure. In short, the main character, the hobbit Bilbo Baggins, in the company of thirteen gnomes and one cute wizard set off on an exciting journey in order to return the gnomes to their home, captured by a mighty dragon.
And then I wanted to finish this part of the article, and then I thought that perhaps no one would give me a sequel, and I cannot fail to mention another fantastic book.
