Make a mask
In any incomprehensible situation – make a mask, it definitely will not be superfluous. Moisturizing, cleansing, nourishing or rejuvenating: it all depends on the situation and the goals you want to achieve. You can conduct a whole course of masks if you dream of a salon-like skin care effect. Luckily, there are now many professional and luxury cosmetics manufacturers producing decent products for home use with acids, natural extracts and vitamins for the skin!
exfoliate the skin
Peeling for home use is used on the principle of the same mask, so we will consider it an advanced version of this beauty procedure. AHAs and BHAs help shrink pores, restore radiance to the skin, and prevent early wrinkles and breakouts. If you don't feel like experimenting with “acidic" cosmetics, just make a mask from slices of lemon, orange or lime that you have stocked up for the duration of the quarantine.
Arrange a cosmetic check-up
It is easier to do this than it seems at first glance: just install several applications on your smartphone or use a browser. EyeBrows will help you choose the right eyebrow shape, Artistry Virtual Beauty will tell you which areas of the face can be considered problematic and what kind of care they lack, TroveSkin will teach you how to keep a skin care diary to calculate whether your new cream is working or not, and Miiskin will determine, count a new mole a reason to visit an oncologist or not.
Get hooked on online training
It is worth doing this, if only because now the whole world lives in remote mode. If your trainer hasn't moved your workouts online yet, then you can start with fitness apps, social networks, and studios that have managed to transfer classes to a new reality format. So, since March 23, the World Class network has been conducting live workouts daily according to a schedule published in advance on the network, and the SM Stretching studio has been conducting personal classes via Zoom with the trainer they like. If you want to start with free fitness classes, the Adidas Training and Welps app will help – its author Natasha Davydova recently opened free access for 2 months to everyone who is in quarantine.
Discover unusual beauty bloggers
If you've had enough of classic blogs reviewing trending makeup options or new face serums, we advise you to try something new. For example, blogger Anastasia Makuin analyzes the composition of funds and honestly tells what budget funds can compete with luxury products, Alena Eko shares the reasons why you should choose organic cosmetics, and Ekaterina Slyadneva founded the Beauty for 300 Telegram channel, in which, of course, writes about budget beauty products.
Get rid of unwanted makeup
Waste is one that has expired or that you are not going to use, despite the fact that it was a gift from a sister, girlfriend or colleagues. For example, mascara, if you use it for more than 3 months after opening the package, can cause conjunctivitis or a severe allergic reaction. A cream received as a gift, but not suitable for your skin type, can clog pores or provoke acne. There is absolutely no need to store “dummy” products – it is unlikely that you will use them regularly, but they still take up space in a cosmetic bag or on a shelf in the bathroom.
Make an oil hair mask
Oils are incredibly useful for hair: they fill damaged areas of the cuticle and allow you to restore hair after blow-drying, coloring or maintenance problems. Singer Beyoncé, for example, makes an oil hair mask every day before going to bed – but, let's be honest, not everyone has the strength to do this after a day spent at the office or with children. You can’t apply such a mask in the morning, because for maximum effectiveness, the oil must be kept on the hair from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Quarantine or holidays provide a unique opportunity to do this at any convenient time. Ready-made butter blends or shea, cocoa, mango or coconut butter are suitable. Apply them to your hair, wrap with cling film and a towel, and then rinse with warm water and shampoo.
Tinted hair
On Instagram, all beauty bloggers only talk about what will soon become known who has what natural shade of hair. If you did not have time to visit your favorite master before self-isolation, do not worry. A tinted shampoo or balm with direct pigments will help maintain the color of dyed hair. It is enough for blondes to choose a shampoo with a purple tint, which will remove the yellowness and preserve the brightness of the cold shade.
