How to get rid of limescale deposits on the shower head?

The water in our apartments is poor. Not only is it too tough, it also has many different impurities. Therefore, limescale often appears on the grates of the shower watering cans.

If this happens, then do not rush to throw away the shower head, we will try to clean it from limescale using simple means.

Vinegar is the most effective remedy for water stone. To make it soft, it is enough to hold the device in the solution for several hours.

At the same time, you do not need to dilute table vinegar, but if you only have the essence, then before cleaning the shower head, it must be diluted. To do this, add 6-8 parts of water to one part of the acid.

The disassembled watering can is simply filled with a mustache. But cleaning an unassembled watering can has its own tricks. To do this, vinegar is poured into a polyethylene pact and a bag is tied to the shower so that the watering can is completely immersed in the vinegar.

It is best to soak the watering can overnight. In the morning, wash off the remnants of the softened plaque with a stiff brush. 

Holes clogged with plaque are cleaned with a toothpick.

2 Citric acid.

Citric acid is the second most popular and effective home remedy for limescale. It will need one large pack of 25 grams.

The contents are poured into any container that is not afraid of high temperature, about a liter of hot water is poured into it.

3 Vinegar and baking soda.

4 Baby oil.

For some, it will be surprising to learn that baby oil contains components that do an excellent job with limescale. To do this, we need to pour a certain amount onto a piece of cloth, after which we wipe the surface with a bloom. This must be done carefully, you can even pour a certain amount into the inner cavity, but for this you need to disassemble the device. After processing, we leave the watering can for several hours so that the active components penetrate deep into the structure and split the lime. Then you can remove the residues with a brush, and then rinse the device with a solution of warm water and soap. Such manipulations allow you to remove traces of fatty oil.

5. Oxalic acid.
   Oxalic acid is recommended for removing limescale, rust, salt and other deposits. Dissolve 1 part acid in 20 parts warm water. Apply the prepared solution to a shower head and leave for 2-3 hours. In case of heavy dirt, the procedure will have to be repeated or the residue removed with a brush. Be sure to rinse the watering can after complete cleaning.

6 Starch and acetone.

Mix ingredients until mushy. Apply the mixture to the limescale. Leave it on for 25-30 minutes. Rub lightly with a sponge and rinse with water.
