Applying makeup for many girls is an ordinary daily routine. However, certain rules must be observed in it, the violation of which can cost not only health, but also vision.
Many girls do eye makeup every day: some get by with just mascara, while others choose a full-fledged transformation with shadows and eyeliner. Both are at risk – after all, violation of certain makeup rules can threaten infection, injury, and even the risk of visual impairment. The skin around the eyes and the skin of the eyelids is particularly sensitive, so the slightest injury can be fraught with serious consequences for eye health. Dryness, scratches on the cornea, flaking, infections – this is what non-compliance with the basic rules of eye makeup can threaten. In the worst case, you may temporarily or permanently lose your sight. So, what mistakes are common to many during daily makeup?
Do not wash your hands before using cosmetics
Everyone has been taught to wash their hands before eating since childhood, but remembering this rule is not only before the next meal. Our hands accumulate a huge amount of germs that spread on all surfaces that you touch. Including on the face or makeup tools. Wash your hands thoroughly for 20 seconds whenever you are about to apply makeup. This rule is especially true for those who like to apply cosmetics with their fingers, and not with brushes and sponges.
Do not regularly clean makeup tools
Most often, the same brushes are stored in a cosmetic bag with all its contents, stand in an open container or lie on a shelf. Daily makeup wearers rarely take the time to wash their brushes and sponges before each use. And this is understandable – after all, in a hurry, sometimes there is not enough time for the makeup itself. However, it should be understood that brushes and sponges are the main breeding grounds for dirt and bacteria. Their use can lead to a variety of consequences: irritation, infection, rashes. In order not to endanger your health, try to store your brushes in a special clean case and wash them regularly in warm water with soap or a special shampoo.
Sharing cosmetics
Many girls, when they gather with friends, for example, to a party, like to put on makeup together. All cosmetics, as a rule, fall out on the table and become common. And does any of her friends think that at this very time she is putting herself at risk? Weak link: how to care for the skin around the eyes It is unacceptable that mascara, eyeliner and any other means that are intended for the eyes, used by someone other than you. With the help of brushes or, worse, fingers, you transfer germs to cosmetics and eyes. This applies not only to cosmetics in contact with the eyes, but also to any other. Sometimes diseases can be invisible, so you should not risk your health by sharing cosmetics even with your closest friend.
Use expired cosmetics
We are accustomed to without hesitation to get rid of food, the expiration date of which has expired. However, when it comes to cosmetics, we constantly neglect its terms, although any product has them. For example, many carcasses need to be discarded after two to three months after opening the package. Now remember what month (or maybe year?) You store your mascara. The function of eyelashes is to protect the eyes from dust and dirt. But if you put an expired product on them, they won't be able to do it. At this point, you are putting your eyes in danger. Also pay attention to the consistency, color and smell of the product. If they seem strange to you, it's best to get rid of them for your own safety.
Do not remove makeup
Even the hardest working day or a stormy party cannot be a reason not to wash off your makeup. No matter how hard it is for you, always follow this routine. While you sleep with makeup, your face and in particular your eyes experience severe irritation. It is highly likely that in the morning you will wake up with at least red eyes, and at most with a serious infection.
