A light tan is the main proof that you spend a lot of time outdoors and lead an active lifestyle. Usually, in order to give the skin the effect of a "sun kiss", a bronzer is used. But this season the rules have changed!
Spring and summer makeup is always about freshness, light radiance and skin slightly tanned. But remembering the dangers of ultraviolet radiation or maintaining an even skin tone, we are often in no hurry to expose our face to the sun and automatically increase the SPF level in cosmetics with the advent of heat. But the effect of sunburn can be created with the help of make-up – and the skin, which seemed to be gently touched by the sun, is called one of the hottest trends this year.
fashion week trend
In search of evidence (and successful examples), we turn to fashion shows. At the Moschino, Paul Costelloe, Ralph & Russo and Ports 1961 shows, bronze and dusty pink rouge was the main highlight of the look, liberally applied to the apples of the cheeks. They conquered make-up artists with their unpretentiousness: such blush goes well with both a bright make-up of the eyes, and with its absence. This is the fastest make-up hack in the warm season: if there is literally no time for anything, run a blush brush over the cheekbones a couple of times and lightly blend. You are already on trend!
Alternative to bronzers
This trend is a real game against boring rules. We all remember that bronzers were used to create the effect of a tan. Powders, gels and liquid bronzers were sometimes too pigmented. And that doesn't take into account the amazing ability of some water-based bronzers to absorb into the skin faster than you can blend them. If you mix them with a moisturizer or foundation, you can miss the dosage.
You won't have to mess around with blush for so long. And they can be layered and gradually achieve the desired effect. What? The one that will make others ask you what spa hotel you spent the last couple of weeks in. "Just from the Riviera" – that's what they call it in glossy publications. This is the same fresh blush that appears on the cheeks after outdoor activities. Naturally, spent under the rays of the sun – this is the effect of a tan, light as a gentle breeze.
Is it possible to achieve such an effect with the help of blush alone? The main secret of success is in the right choice of shade. It should be a noble bronze or dusty pink, as we said above. Naturally, it is better to choose those options that have radiant particles: they do not give the skin a strong shine, but only slightly shimmer, further enhancing the tanning effect. And you can also not limit your imagination – and experiment with applying blush to your temples, chin or tip of your nose. Need to add shine? Use some powder highlighter!
