Features of the microneedling procedure

Microneedling is a popular procedure known since 2011. It is carried out both in salons and at home. Microneedling restores firmness and freshness to the skin. In some ways, the process resembles laser photothermolysis and mesotherapy. But in its essence, the procedure is unique. Like any other service, microneedling has pros and cons. Microneedling is not a panacea. This is a way to solve the problem of reducing the effectiveness of creams and surface care. The procedure is not as radical as plastic surgery or injections, but its possibilities are not unlimited. To perform the procedure, a roller with the finest needles is used. The length of the needles and their number depend on the treated area. One device can have about two hundred needles.

Home microneedling is a risky business. It is impossible without experience to adjust the depth of entry of the needles and correctly determine the impact zone of the roller. The risk of scarring and even infection increases.
