Charity Decorates: Mary Kay’s Essential Campaign

Beauty brand Mary Kay has launched an exclusive beauty product to support a charity project that helps women who are facing breast cancer. Details are in the material.

Breast cancer (BC) is the most common cancer among women. In 2020, more than 14,500 Ukrainian women were diagnosed with breast cancer. Every day, 41 women learn that they have breast cancer.

For more than 17 years, Mary Kay ‘s Erysipelas Changes Life charity project has been supporting women facing this diagnosis. As part of the initiative, the Ukrainian branch of the brand offers women who have undergone surgery to remove a malignant breast tumor to undergo a rehabilitation program for free. Every year, Mary Kay launches special products, with a portion of the proceeds from the sale of which is used to fund a rehabilitation program.

With the support of the Women's Health and Family Planning Charitable Foundation, within the framework of the rehabilitation program, women undergo a complex of restorative procedures, receive advice from leading specialists, communicate with psychologists and other women who are faced with this diagnosis. The program helps to restore not only the physical, but also the psychological state. During the existence of the rehabilitation program for Ukrainian women, more than 5 million hryvnias have already been transferred.

The Erysipelas Change Life project is funded entirely by funds raised from the sale of special Mary Kay products. In 2021, 2 exclusive shades of Mary Kay Unlimited lip gloss will become helpers of goodness.

35 hryvnia from the sale of each of these lip glosses is transferred to support the rehabilitation program for women who have experienced breast cancer.
