It can be found as part of a cream, serum or any other cosmetic product. Is it true that it has anti-aging properties?<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>For the last 10 years, the concept of &quot;hyaluronic acid&quot; has not left the advertising campaigns of various cosmetic and even medical products. Few cosmetic trends have earned such an unprecedented long-term popularity. To understand the reasons for the hype, we studied the range of facial care cosmetics at EVA.UA, and it is impossible not to notice that hyaluronic acid is found in almost every second product for different skin types. However, it is especially often found in cosmetics for mature skin. Does hyaluronic acid really rejuvenate and what is its superpower?<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The nature of hyaluronic acid<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Hyaluronic acid was first discovered by biochemist Carl Meyer in the vitreous body of the eye in 1934, but it took more than 70 years for this component to get into cosmetics. It all started with the publication of a scientific article on the properties of hyaluronic acid in 2009, when the world of cosmetics simply exploded with an innovative component.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Today, hyaluronic acid is widely used not only in cosmetics for home skin care, but also in professional cosmetology, including for invasive procedures, in plastic surgery, ophthalmology, for the treatment of joints, and even in the form of dietary supplements. Surprisingly, this is not just a marketing ploy, but a component that is truly indispensable in terms of its functions.<\/p>\n<p>Hyaluronic acid is produced in the body of any living being. Its amount in the human body weighing 70 kg is approximately 15 g, but at the same time it performs several important actions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>transports migrating cells;<\/li>\n<li>plays the role of a lubricant;<\/li>\n<li>stimulates cell regeneration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is the latter property that is so interested in dermatologists.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At first, hyaluronic acid was of exclusively animal origin, but to the delight of modern trends in the humane treatment of animals, several methods for its artificial synthesis were later discovered. This not only simplified the process of obtaining the substance and gave impetus to its mass use, but also helped to improve the quality of the component and its effectiveness.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/inform.com.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/post-455107-63334134742c4.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-bGlnaHRib3g=\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\"  title=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"SDStudio-light-box-enable SDStudio-editor-tools-md-imp\" src=\"https:\/\/inform.com.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/post-455107-63334134742c4.jpg\" alt=\"How to use hyaluronic acid for mature skin\" ><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>The effect of hyaluronic acid on mature skin<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>With age, the body begins to synthesize a smaller amount of hyaluronic acid, including under the influence of photoaging, which also affects the condition of the skin. It becomes dry, dull, flabby, wrinkles and age spots appear.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As part of cosmetics, you can find directly hyaluronic acid (Hyaluronic Acid) and sodium hyaluronate (Sodium Hyaluronate). The first has a higher molecular weight and remains on the surface of the skin, improving the hydration of its outer layer and fighting wrinkles. The second, whose molecule is 40 times smaller, penetrates through the epidermis into the deeper layers of the skin and stimulates the production of its own hyaluronic acid, restoring skin elasticity.<\/p>\n<p>Hyaluronic acid retains 1,000 to 10,000 times its own weight in moisture. It is necessary for the production of collagen and elastin, which are responsible for the firmness and elasticity of the skin, which promotes cell renewal.
