Many people who want to stay young for a long time know about the effect of low temperatures on the body. In official medicine and cosmetology, a similar method is called cold treatment – cryotherapy. Cold water has been used since ancient times as a healing agent for the whole body. It is no secret that after a hot bath our ancestors jumped into an ice hole and wiped themselves with snow, although they did not yet know what cryotherapy is, indications and contraindications for it. Later, women began to notice the positive effects of cold on the preservation of youth and beauty. It is known that even Catherine II used pieces of ice for facial skin care.<\/p>\n

The cryotherapy method appeared at the end of the 20th century, when gases with record low temperatures began to be used instead of water. Japan is considered the birthplace of the method, where back in the 70s of the last century, gaseous media began to be used to treat patients suffering from joint pain. A little later, the method became an integral part of the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Improvement was noted in more than 80% of patients.<\/p>\n
