I have always associated the Unified State Exam with the only chance to successfully enroll. Teachers constantly insisted that it would not be possible to cheat on the exam and that you should use only your knowledge. I can honestly say no. Among those taught by school life, there were enough of those who took a risk, but the results are ambiguous. Four years ago, my friend's exam result was reset to zero right in the classroom, because they noticed a phone in their hands, and then there were no cameras yet. Two years ago, another friend of mine carried a history textbook in a wide leg, taped to her leg, and successfully used it in the toilet. A year ago, I decided that success does not depend on the system, but on the skill of the dealer. It turned out to be true.<\/p>\n

The literature exam is considered one of the most difficult, therefore, as a rule, no more than two or three people from a class in ordinary schools take it. For lazy students, it seems like a disaster, because you need to read, as it seemed then, a huge list of literature, remember quotes, the names of heroes, writers, titles of works. Therefore, having mastered most of the list, I decided to play it safe and wrote a cheat sheet in the smallest text on two A4 pages.<\/p>\n

Not to say that my head was empty, just there are a lot of things that are easily forgotten, especially in a stressful situation. With these saving sheets I pasted over both legs with adhesive tape on the morning of the exam. Everything was there: pieces of text with which you can reproduce quotes, the names of heroes, the names of poems and other necessary information.<\/p>\n

Any necessary means can be used simply in the toilet booth, there are never cameras. And so it happened: my notes helped me in half of the assignments. The main thing is to write everything by hand so that you know where everything is, and in general write down only what is really needed. During the exam, everyone is in such tension that you can easily get confused and not find anything on your own cheat sheet.<\/p>\n

After a successful first exam, I decided to go further – and took the English phone. Since before entering the classroom, all students are examined for the presence of telephones (they are guided past all the pockets with a metal detector), I hid it in my sneaker. If we talk about the little things, it is better to wear shoes with soft soles, otherwise the phone may simply break when walking. I also used it in the toilet and only in order to check a couple of words in the dictionary, which, in principle, I already knew. The phone was with me just for comfort.<\/p>\n

For these exams, I received 78 and 90 points, as I expected, and in the end I successfully entered Moscow State University. This might not have happened, because on my own in literature I did not remember the necessary quotes or the names of the heroes for the essay, for which I could get ten points less.<\/p>\n

I also heard stories when graduates from other cities took earphones with them and used them to contact tutors in toilet cubicles. I don't know how true this is. But, based on my experience, I can say that it makes sense to bring something on the exam only if you are, in principle, ready for the exam, but because of elementary stress you feel that you can forget the most important things.<\/p>\n

Cheat sheets or a phone can only help if you use them as quickly and discreetly as possible and, of course, outside the audience. But no textbook will help someone who is absolutely not ready for the exam. “<\/p>\n

“To begin with, the devil is not so terrible as he is painted. Each graduate knows in advance that at each exam he will have to go through security checks, then look and smile at the camera and be constantly in someone's line of sight. If they are accused of cheating, they are suspended, they are guilty themselves. It sounded like a sentence to us, which we were undoubtedly afraid of, but at the same time it stimulated us to seriously prepare for the exam.<\/p>\n

In fact, the improved current system is not entirely perfect. There are ways to cheat the rules a little – our eternal cheat sheets. Here the field for creativity is great. To print or write, a piece of paper or cardboard, put it in a sleeve or pocket – here everyone is into what is great. The main thing is to use it at the right time, in a safe place and carefully. Although in any case, having cheat sheets with you adds anxiety and distracts from the change.<\/p>\n

Our Russian teacher always warned us to go through all control points with a “cold head”. This advice helped me a lot during the Olympiads and the exams themselves: I managed to pass both with high scores.<\/p>\n

Personally, I carried cheat sheets for one single exam – English, but I never used them, although there was an opportunity. But I was able to compare two states: when you are afraid that you will be caught cheating, and when you are concentrating and calmly just doing your job. In general, I had a very good level of preparation, so I evaluate the exam from the point of view of an excellent student, who, it seems to me, finds it easier to pass the exam without cheat sheets. “The most unpleasant thing was to go through special frames. Security guards with metal detectors check every person. Even if the zipper “zipikikat”, you will be undressed in all, not to panties, of course, but the pockets will definitely have to be turned inside out. I was wearing a jacket with a zipper, and when I began to pass, the device in the guard's hand responded instantly. It was embarrassing as I had to prove that I didn't have a cell phone with me. Already in the audience itself, the observers gave instructions that it is strictly forbidden to use any gadgets, cheat sheets, and in case of violation, immediate removal from the exam follows. This was nothing new to me, as the teachers constantly told us about the strict rules.<\/p>\n

What can I say, with the new system you can't really write off. Cameras, jammers – you can hide from them only in the toilet, and then for a short while. At the school where I was taking, they were allowed to stay in it for a maximum of two minutes, then the people seeing off started knocking on the booth and asking if everything was all right.<\/p>\n

The student remains completely unaware of what tasks will be in KIMs (control and measuring materials) to the last. It is very difficult and ineffective to prepare in advance for something, to waste time on writing spurs, which may not be useful at the exam itself. I only had handwritten math cheat sheets, because all the formulas are impossible to remember.<\/p>\n

For the social studies exam, I wrote out some quotes from the constitution for myself, because the teachers said that her knowledge would definitely come in handy on the exam. By the way, they did not help me significantly. I just watched them to make sure I answered correctly.<\/p>\n

When you go to the exam, you need to prepare for everything. Failure in an exam is not just due to ignorance. There can be many reasons: you got caught cheating, you got an unsuccessful option.
